DAL 1914 - AZIENDA AGRICOLA

Quando la famiglia Gozzelino ha iniziato a coltivare questi vigneti era il 1886 e le terre erano in proprietà ai marchesi Asinari, grandi viticoltori residenti nel castello di Costigliole. I Gozzelino entrano in possesso delle loro prime vigne nel 1914 e proseguono ad ampliare l'azienda; oggi sono 25 gli ettari. Le loro terre sono coltivate con la saggezza tradizionale.

Cinque generazioni di vignaioli, una generazione vissuta dagli attuali titolari che accanto alla tradizionale e affezionata clientela familiare, che viene qui ogni anno ad acquistare il "suo" vino, oggi servono anche altri consumatori, con bottiglie selezionate. "Per noi la qualità è una scelta necessaria - dice Sergio Gozzelino - perché è il vino di casa nostra".

La qualità nasce prima di tutto nel vigneto, grazie alla terra e al clima, grazie alla passione e al senso della misura del vignaiolo. Sulle alte pendici del "Bricco da Lu" la posizione è tra le migliori
delle terre di Asti e questa famiglia ha progredito negli ultimi trent'anni, i più creativi nella storia della viticoltura, con tanta volontà di vivere al meglio la prossima generazione, quella che porta il nome di Lorenzo.

Questa azienda ha ottenuto diversi riconoscimenti a livello nazionale
e internazionale ed è presente in varie guide di vini.

When the Gozzelino family first started cultivating these vineyards back in 1886 the land still belonged to the marchesi Asinari - great wine growers who lived in the castle of Costigliole.
The Gozzelino family acquired the vineyards in 1914 and since then have continued to expand the wine company; they now cultivate 25 hectares of vineyards, with regard to traditional wisdom.

Along to the traditional and affectionate clientele that comes every year to buy the wine of the house, today they serve also other consumers, with selected bottles. "Quality is a necessary choice for us - explains Sergio Gozzelino - because this is the wine of our home".

Quality springs up first in the vineyards, related to the type of soil and to the climate, to the passion and to the sense of measure of the wine maker.
The company's vineyards are situated on the high slopes of Bricco Lu, which enjoys the best position in the province of Asti - this extraordinary hill basks in sunshine even when the surrounding area is covered with fog. Lorenzo, the company oenologist, represents the fifth generation of his family to cultivate these lands.
